Toronto Heights

Well i was going through some photo's of mine from my trip to Canada again and found these taken of Toronto from the top of the CN Tower. They turned out pretty nice. Brings back cool memories and makes we want to travel again. If you look close you can see my reflection just. I really like the effect it creates. These are my photo's and i still spend ages looking at them.

The Races

Had a day at the races this week, a school organised photo shoot. Something a little different for me, They travel a little faster than bikes, and it's not so easy to get so close. All the jockeys have small man's syndrome and there are way too many "horse" people... and growing up in a horse family i know only too well what that means :-)

A miniature mount yard ? :-)

HDR Landscapes

Here's 3 landscapes using the same processing technique. They definitely have surreal yet real feel to them. It's hard to describe. The first two are views located within 40 min of where I'm living and the 3rd is Toronto, Canada and can also be seen below in a previous post, minus the fancy editing.

HDR

I just found out about this image processing technique called HDR, i had seen it round but never knew, how or what it was. Turns out it's not so hard. I like the look if it's in moderation. First one is HDR processed and the second has had no processing. Let me know what you guy's think?
Rider is Tom Patton, Aussie Jnr. at Mount Beauty National round 07.

Cowra One Night Stand

Well i managed to get myself a photo pass for Triple J's One Night Stand concert in Cowra N.S.W. It was pretty cool for my second ever chance at shooting live music. Definitely something i would like to do more of.

Citizen Shoot

Just thought i would show you guy's some stuff from a photo shoot i did for Citizen Watches. I liked the bottom one and the portrait the best but they went for the clean simple one. Worked out well anyway though. The advertisement was created by NGA and the rider is Luke Strom.

Montreal

Here's some more old stuff, Montreal on a mid summer morning..... Who climbs a mountain at 3 o'clock in the morning to take photo's at dawn... I have to thank a bilingual bum for the second shot, This view was what he woke up too most summer mornings.

Bryn Atkinson Whistler 05

These photos were taken on my 05 trip also, Crankworx week in Whistler I was lucky enough to tag along with Clay Porter and Bryn Atkinson when they were filming for Clays film Hypnosis. Bryn is probably one of the best riders to go on a shoot with. He's awesome to watch ride, and always has a style about him which helps to produce great photo's. Good enough even for a Drift 3 DVD cover and the guy's at
Black Phoenix Film.

Toronto Hostel

This was another favorite from my trip overseas. This was outside my hostel rooms window.... Toronto's CN Tower...
I know it's off topic but it was a couple of hours earlier from taking this photo, some guy in my room got kicked out of the hostel for pissing on some swiss guys bag in his sleep.... Hostels huh.... So yeah anyway i left the shutter open for about 30 seconds and hit the Hostels exterior with a remote flash. I just love the colours of the Hostel in this photo.

Jill Kintner

This is an old photo from my 2005 trip overseas, it was at the Mount Sainte-Anne World Cup. This was probably my favorite portrait from that whole trip. Jill Kintner with another Mountain Cross Gold......

Underwater Photography

Hopefully i can get out and get better at these, my underwater housing is pretty hard to use, but occasionally I'm lucky.....

Australian National Mountainbike Championships

This was probably my favorite shot from the 2007 National champs...... but none of the MTB mags i sent it to used it... but then again i'm always surprised by what they do and don't like. Jared Graves Australian National champ on the money...

MTB photography

Well i guess this is what i would call my forte..... World number 3, Australian mountainbiker Nathan Rennie. 2007 Australian National Champs, Mount Stromlo, Canberra. The world are here in 2009 should be......... interesting.

School Sydney City Shoot

This was what i was supposed to be shooting, on the city trip. "Urban patterns", and "Old and New"... My photography teachers come up with some......... mind blowing topics..... :-)

Bold and the Beautiful

This was the same trip to the city... apparently there is a Bold & The Beautiful episode set in Sydney, the same spot i took the ship picture from. There was a bunch of paparazzi there that all knew each other..... they were giving me some pretty weird looks when i pulled out my long lens. Security was pretty tight, but not very smart. I probably should have sold these photo's but.....

Sydney Harbour

I decided to start with a photo that i like a lot, and which is also very different from what i normally take. It was taken on a school trip to the city. We had specific things we had to take photo's of , but as usual i got distracted and just took photo's of whatever i liked. I guess i just really liked the feel of it . Definitely not a photo of Sydney Harbour most people are used to seeing.
